Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy de-Domme, France on 8 August 1976. She was youngest of four children. Her parents, a dentist and a teacher recognised and supported her interest in the theatre and dramatic arts from a young age which was more important than a desire to be a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. The rise of her as a young actress was rapid and highlighted by a rapid rise to fame. When she completed her education, she participated in the French program for scouting talent on television Jeunes Premiers. She won Best Young Actress at Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000 and began her career as an actor. Tautou was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a young girl and attended school there and has publicly disavowed her Catholic background. She pursued a modelling career alongside her acting career and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious photographic passion and has recently presented an exhibit of her photography at the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. She is a photographer who focuses on famous people, the media and public that scrutinised her since her rise to fame with Amelie. In addition, there are numerous photographs of her own self. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and recognition with her movie part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie is a huge worldwide box office smash and was a cult hit at numerous awards shows across the globe. It is currently the most successful French language film on the market in US. After this huge success, Tautou was later cast in several films, including British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
