Katherine Heigl has opened up about being raised in "a White bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on the parenting style of her adoptees who are multi-racial. The "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in a recent interview in regards to the color of her skin, it didn't matter to her what she wore, but after she spoke with her older sister whom she adopted by South Korea, she realized how different society treated both of them. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated in one manner while going out with us parents, and another way when she was out on her own without anyone else. She said, 'Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the time!' Heigl addressed Parents about how she realized the naivety of her actions. The actress said that she was upset, but she felt that she had use that anger in order to assist adopt her daughters. Heigl shares a son of four years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. They took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black in 2009.
