However, it doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. The message? that we are all a part of a multitude of identities and that we are greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart, via video message from Nashville home, states that I do not want my physical appearance to define myself. I am far more than just my physical self. This doesn't have any effect on my day-to-day life I do everything normally and I've found my own method of adjusting things. But it's also a part of me, so I believe it's essential to discuss. Self-acceptance is a lifelong marathon however Lockhart is an absolute inspiration on that front. She admits that she has gone through phases of being uncomfortable with her body, and also feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which showed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and posts photos of herself in the outfits she picks out on social media. One of the keys to self-love for her is that it's not an end goal. It's a fact that I see for everyone, whatever the source of their anxiety. It's essential to have those in your life who know and can relate to the way you feel.
