It was her belief that it would attract the attention of the politicians and prompt them to take action in order to stop global warming. Swedish media reported Thunbergs protests and pushed the word about her protest. Many students across all over the world joined her #FridaysforFuture strike, skipping the school day on Friday to protest against climate change.
